What do the driver levels mean?
- Levels are not according to age but your skill in rallying, Finland has a certain way of counting points based on your succeess and after collecting certain amount, you get higher drivel level. Only age related rule is that over 27 years old drivers cannot participate in Finnish Junior Championship
- Yleinen: the highest level of driver classification that also allows international lisence level. A -junior gets upgraded to Yleinen when (s)he has collected 10 points as an A-junior.
- A -juniori: after collecting 10 points as a B-junior one is upgraded to an A-junior, A juniors are allowed to participate in rallies with pace-notes.
- B -juniori: everyone starts as B-junior. B -juniors are not allowed to drive 4 -wheel drive cars and they are not allowed to participate in rallies where pace-notes are made.

Rallysprint races
- In Finnish rallysprint the drivers are allowed to get to know the stage either by walking or riding a bike during the morning and the race is driven in the afternoon. No co-driver is allowed in the car. There are usually 2 rounds and the second round is driven in a reversed order. The fastest time gets the win by groups/classes.
- 4 drives classes can participate: Yleinen, women, juniors (A- and B-juniors combined) and youngsters. Yleinen, women and juniors are the same as in rallying but new group youngsters are aged 16 to 18 years (before driver's licence)
- The groups are nearly the same as in rallies A, N, F but also a group SS (Special Saloon). Classes are based on engine cc as in rallies.
- Special saloon group means more freedom to build your car (within the national rules for this group), but the car must be based on an "ordinary car", no convertables or formula -cars etc. allowed.
- There are only national events in rallysprint including the Finnish Cahmpionship series (SM) with 6 events
- Races are driven on gravel, tarmac or on a track with both. Mostly the sprint track is more like a special stage in a rally than a motorstadium event.
